Countries and territories with approved proof of vaccination

This list can help you determine whether or not you qualify as fully vaccinated when travelling to England. 

Approved Vaccines

You must have had a complete course of one of the following vaccines at least 14 days before arriving in England:

  • Oxford / AstraZeneca

  • Pfizer BioNTech

  • Moderna

  • Janssen

The day you receive the last dose of your course does not count as one of the 14 days. 

Proof of vaccination 

To avoid quarantine at home on arrival in England, you must be able to prove that you’ve been fully vaccinated under a vaccination programme with approved proof of certification. 

If you live in England your NHS COVID Pass acts as your proof of vaccination. 

Vaccine certificates only 

Check the country list below, if any of the countries below says you can use a vaccine certificate as proof of vaccination, you must be sure to follow the rules. The certificate must be issued by a national or state-level public health authority, be in English, French or Spanish, and include as a minimum:

  • Your first and last name 

  • Date of birth 

  • Vaccine brand and manufacturer 

  • Date of vaccination for each dose 

  • Country or territory of vaccination and/or certificate issuer


Countries with approved proof of vaccinations and required proof 

If you have proof of vaccination from a country or territory that is not listed or with a vaccine that is not listed, you must follow the rules for people who do not qualify as fully vaccinated.
